Been obsessed with donuts my entire life. These are up there with some of the best. Old fashioned in style, so quite cakey with a hint of nutmeg, these almond milk glazed donuts have made me very happy this week.

Meet Sweep. She’s a young cutie with the sweetest meow. She loves a stroke and to be near her humans, but not on top of them. She doesn’t scratch or bite. I feel safe stroking her belly. She enjoys being outside but hasn’t mastered the art of getting back in through the cat flap, only going out.

My succulent garden has come a long way since it was transplanted into its new home last October, just before I moved. It weathered the winter and has returned with bright gravitas. Enjoying the spring sunshine now, it’s looking full of colourful life.

Recently, I visited The Cotswolds, an area of outstanding beauty, in the rolling, green hills of England. There was so much exquisite birdsong there. Here is an early morning robin I recorded, along with some melodic harp music to brighten your day. They go so well together. It’s one of my favs.
