Get on and Shine with Holly Honeychurch

Get on and Shine with Holly Honeychurch

We’re moving out tomorrow. I packed our whole life into a van today and made the house sparkly clean. It’s a busy day for a housesitter.

I got the urge to dance in the fresh new space left behind. So I did.

Hard and fast.

It was epic.

During the dance I discovered new things about my legs. I felt my heels connect with the ground more. My feet were flatter as they sank down into the floor. Sensations, like happy relaxed muscle spasms buzzed up my legs into my groin and hip area where they settled. I stretched my groin and pelvis outwards which opened up my whole torso. I immediately became taller and more elegant. I did this small movement of pushing my pelvis forwards over and over in time with the music. It felt right. My body felt peaceful and settled in itself as I did it. It was powerful. My lumber region sang with relief and lightness. There was more space down there all of a sudden. Everything opened up and my body felt blissful.

All the while this was going on, I was listening to a beautiful hard trance set on my new wireless headphones. šŸ˜ƒ

The way to self-discovery is so different for each person isn’t it?

This is my way. My solace.

Dance and CBD are my solace. These two elements combined give my body such passion and power. It’s like an alchemy for my muscles. It makes them calm and more responsive. I can find it hard to feel much in my legs so the CBD gives me a reference point for my body to start working from. It brings a kind of heaviness to my muscles and from there I can sense them and challenge them through the dance music I love. Iā€™m so grateful to have discovered this plant medicine. It helps my longevity and happy sense of well-being.

Tonight Gareth Emery took me on a high energy musical journey. Some melodic memories with a fresh new sound. I even clapped without being asked šŸ˜‰ now how about that?
