Get on and Shine with Holly Honeychurch

Creativity, Stress and a Special Announcement

35 - Hi everyone, I speak again! It’s been an age. I hope you are well. In this episode I talk about pre/post the world change, moving to Glasgow, dealing with stress, getting creative and I also have a special announcement.

My dance song was - Om Namo Bhagavate/Because The One I Love.

My transformational Davidji meditation was Shifting Your Perspective. I cried so much during this meditation. Like something was healing and being released. And someone understood what I was going through.

Awesome first electric bike experience this evening. I flew like I never knew I could. I felt I was on a ride in a theme park and had the biggest smile. Amazing light too on the shiny buildings. Love Glasgow. Love electric! Love the after glow. Woo! 🥰

Existential Egg moment (could be a dragon’s!).

My Precious.

A Bunny Birthday Message

The bunnies have been busy today getting ready for their mum’s birthday. Here they talk about cakes, presents and of course they sing a little song. Pumpkin has to have a word with Pickles too, after he gets a bit confused.

What time is it? Exactly the right time for a chocolate egg and a vodka orange.

A Worried Bunny

Peanut and Pickles have a little chat and sing a calming lullaby.

My neighbour sent this to me today. It felt comforting to read. Maybe it’ll comfort you too.

Message from White Eagle, Hopi indigenous on 03/16/2020:

VISION QUEST 🔥👁️

“This moment humanity is going through can now be seen as a portal and as a hole.

The decision to fall into the hole or go through the portal is up to you.

If you repent of the problem and consume the news 24 hours a day, with little energy, nervous all the time, with pessimism, you will fall into the hole. But if you take this opportunity to look at yourself, rethink life and death, take care of yourself and others, you will cross the portal.

Take care of your homes, take care of your body. Connect with your spiritual House.

When you are taking care of yourselves, you are taking care of everything else. Do not lose the spiritual dimension of this crisis, have the eagle aspect, that from above, and see the whole; see more broadly.

There is a social demand in this crisis, but there is also a spiritual demand. The two go hand in hand. Without the social dimension, we fall into fanaticism. But without the spiritual dimension, we fall into pessimism and lack of meaning.

You were prepared to go through this crisis. Take your toolbox and use all the tools available to you.

Learn about resistance of the indigenous and African peoples: we have always been and continue to be exterminated. But we still haven’t stopped singing, dancing, lighting a fire and having fun. Don’t feel guilty about being happy during this difficult time.

You do not help at all being sad and without energy. You help if good things emanate from the Universe now. It is through joy that one resists. Also, when the storm passes, each of you will be very important in the reconstruction of this new world.

You need to be well and strong. And, for that, there is no other way than to maintain a beautiful, happy and bright vibration. This has nothing to do with alienation.

This is a resistance strategy. In shamanism, there is a rite of passage called the quest for vision. You spend a few days alone in the forest, without water, without food, without protection. When you cross this portal, you get a new vision of the world, because you have faced your fears, your difficulties …

This is what is asked of you:

Allow yourself to take advantage of this time to perform your vision seeking rituals. What world do you want to build for you? For now, this is what you can do: serenity in the storm. Calm down, pray every day. Establish a routine to meet the sacred every day.

Good things emanate; what you emanate now is the most important thing. And sing, dance, resist through art, joy, faith and love.”
Resist - Be reborn

Midweek treats - coffee (after 6pm), custard tarts and vodka. 😉 Maybe not all at the same time (tarts have already gone anyway!). Nom. And cheers!

“Hmpf. I don’t want to do anymore harp practise. I want to go outside and play!”

Anyone play an instrument as a child? While all my friends were outside playing I’d have to practise my violin for a whole 30 mins! That’s forever for a kiddo. I was so cross. 🤣

Late night adventures with my shadow. Hey shadow, how are you? (“very good” she said).

Finishing touches.

That light shape in the distance is the bushy tail of my first Scottish Fox!! They crossed my path, walked over the deserted road in front of me then down a lane. A long way away by the time I passed. Doing the rounds are you? What are you up to foxy? 🦊

Applauding the workers on the front line. ❤️

Here’s to all the creatives out there. Pushing the boundaries, trying new things. Push push push! You never know what you’ll find! You never know what you’re gonna get! 🌈 🌈 🌈
New Late Nite Harp coming soooon!

A moment between melodies.

New delight. Taking my walk at night and dancing round deserted streets, smelling night time flowers. Touching pink blossoms and sensing spring by night with dnb on my headphones and energy in my body. It’s a beautiful experience. This magic keeps me in tune with my soul.

In the Precious Moonlight

I am so pleased with how this turned out. Sweet and innocent with a touch of pizazz. This song has a warm, flamboyant beat. I always feel so happy singing it.

Day 6 - A song a day.

Wake Up to Love

Happy Springtime!! Let’s be joyous as the seasons change. I’m appreciating the milder weather. I see the blue tits whizzing about and hear the blackbird’s song. It keeps my spirits up.
I wrote this a couple of years ago. I love the dreaminess of it. I’ll be recording an extended harp version for Late Nite Harp very soon. Enjoy.

Day 5 - A song a day.

Mother's Day with the Bunnies

The bunnies are back and raring to go. They’re presenting the whole podcast today so get ready for some fun! There’s even a bit of singing in the middle.

Somewhere Out There - An American Tail.

Day 3 - A song a day.

My Heart is Full of Hope

A song I wrote a few years back. Smooth, flowing, soft, deep. Loch Lomond’s waters kissed me today and settled me into a peaceful, hopeful vibe. I’m about to go deeper and record an extended version of this melody on the harp. See you on the other side.
Day 3 - A song a day.

A visit to Luss today by the waters of Loch Lomond with Ben Lomond in the distance. Luss is a quaint, sweet village full of sparrows nesting in hedgerows and ducks glistening emerald green in the sun. I felt peaceful listening to gentle waves lap onto the shore.
