Get on and Shine with Holly Honeychurch

Stunning sacred shots from Cambridge. Taken in St John’s Chapel and Magdalene College Chapel.

Meet Mia. The maddest monkey I’ve ever looked after. Does everything double speed, always on a mission, loves to rub against you and chirrup sweetly but heaven forbid if you stroke her at the wrong time. A real character. The opposite of a lazy ragdoll.

So long fluffy kitty cats. Another short, sweet sit. Still can’t quite believe how fluffy you are. Like giant, furry caterpillars.

Meet Fleur and Lily. Ragdoll and Birman sisters. I’m looking after them for the weekend in the glorious countryside of Suffolk. They’re playful, love sleeping on beds, exploring the garden and sunbathing. Long haired cats are on a whole other level of fur!

Hot chocolate followed by mystical, ancient choral music in Trinity College Chapel, Cambridge make a great combo. Alleluia. 😁

Bye bye wild garden boys; a short, sweet stay. Thank you for gracing me with your occasional presence. 👋

Snug as a bug

Is it dinner time Monty?

You’re so gorgeous Milo

Meet Monty. A hunter. And eater. Keeps his distance except for the occasional stroke. Likes to explore his surroundings. Often spends all night out and about in the beautiful countryside where he lives. Loves catnip.

Meet Milo, a bengal kitty and my spirit animal. He’s a few sandwiches short of a picnic. He’s on a completely different planet. He loves being outside, lounging and sleeping. He also likes a little cuddle now and again and has a sweet meow. I’m cat sitting him and his brother for a few days.

A lot goes on at the beach on a Friday night. As well as young folk revving and racing their cars along the strip and children shrieking with delight in the soft evening waves, there are also calm moments like this.

The joy of bluebells.

This beautiful prayer - Anima Christi (Soul of Christ) - of unknown authorship was composed in the first half of the 14th century. I love its power and simplicity. It’s accompanied by sweet harp music and ethereal song. Listen to connect with the light of Christ. Image by Peter Nicola, with thanks.

The joy of blossom!

Loch Doon, Scotland. Fresh, cold, windy, peaceful, inspiring, invigorating.

Love this indigo sky colour. It was extra striking, because it feels like two seasons have gone by since I last saw such a hue. I’m so glad it’s back. 🎊 ps yay for blossoms!! Happy Sunday!

So long sweet pea Sweep, thanks for all the cuddles.

Rhubarb and pistachio croissant with rooibos tea. Pretty fab for Sunday breakfast.

Love her glowing whiskers.

Dilated pupils? Must mean it’s playtime (it was).

The Princess, she sits.
