Get on and Shine with Holly Honeychurch

Looking after a friend’s garden over the next couple of weeks. Just wow to these lilies! 😄

Afternoon rhubarb cake yum! Very grateful 🙏

I love me some moody, epic clouds.

Some sweet photos from the medieval event at my local library recently. Unfortunately I did not have a medieval outfit to wear but the story teller did! There was also an artist there who drew us both. I was not expecting that. A great chance for me to play in front of a room full of people.

I’ve just written my latest newsletter. If you fancy a joyous read here it is. Pixie is of course featured. 😺

Divine Mother Comforting Harp Prayer live session on Wednesday 28th June 8pm BST. Would love you to be there especially if you need a big, healing motherly hug. 💙

I am a machine when it comes to potting on plants. So much of a machine, I don’t usually remember their names. I just know I’ve helped them along to the next stage of life and that’s great (and meditative when you’re doing 96 of them). It’s always lovely then, to find a plant I’ve worked on months before and see it in full bloom. This beauty today was one such encounter.

Beautiful clouds again at last.

I highly recommend both series of Slow Horses. Gary Oldman is just brilliant with an all round wonderful cast. I love espionage, I love keeping it real. This is raw and rough. Watching polished Hollywood films after this makes them look weird. This is witty, gripping and mysterious. I was hooked.

Fresh, sweet, Scottish strawberries. I wait all year for this delectable moment 😍🍓😍

12pm BST - Wednesday 21st June - Summer Solstice Blessed Harp. You are welcome!

Been listening to underground soul this afternoon. I love the rawness. Here are three of my favourites.

  1. It’s so Hard to Break a Habit - The Webs, 1968
  2. Suffering with a Hangover - Billy Young, 1973
  3. Tell Her - Fred Williams and The Jewels Band, 1969

Byrdie Green gets a special mention too. 😊

I made elderflower cordial from the big bush in the back garden, where the robins live. It was fun and turned out sweetly refreshing. Gotta restrain it however after finding some thrips had gotten involved in the sugar flower party. They certainly went out on a high 💃🏽🌸🌼✨

Tis a special tree this one. It’s a Western Hemlock.

My new favourite flower bush to hang out with is the Syringa. Luckily the neighbours have one so the scent wafts over to me on the breeze. It smells very much like orange blossom…basically amazing!! Stick your snoot into one of them if you can. Yummy!

Yep. It was as good as it looks. Lemon ricotta sponge cake. Nommmm. Happy Birthday sweet Simon! You are wonderful. 🎊🎉🍰💜🧡🩷😽✨

A new day. A new coffee. Yay! Those are Italian milk cakes by the way. Yum!

This is Lanimer Day here in Scotland when the town gathers together to celebrate a new Queen being crowned and a centuries old tradition being observed.

It’s a day of joyful fun with plenty of bagpipes and happy faces. This is a little snippet of one of the many parts of the day’s processions.

“My special friend shared her smoked salmon sandwich with me in the park today, then we played chase, then we hid under blankets, then we had a sleep in the sun, then she went home wishing I was hiding in her bag”.

These lush scenes were recorded around the area where I live in Scotland. It’s rhododendron time here and the colours are so incredibly glorious.

The calming video is accompanied by beautiful harp music. There are a range of pieces. You can discover more of my music on my Bandcamp Page.
