Get on and Shine with Holly Honeychurch

Neighbours can be challenging right? This is a prayer to cultivate more compassion and understanding for those around you. And to be as merciful as Jesus. Let’s love one another. It’ll help you too.

So long Ginger. Thanks for all the mice.

Uh-oh. Here comes trouble (so say the mice).

Which one would you choose? 😍 I had the choux pastry filled with pistachio cream. Thank you Dulcis Gelato.

What a hunk 😸

The most magical paper 😍

Play time or pray time?

One relaxed cat. Out all night, sleeps all day. 😸

Took a while, but I finally got Tangawizi to play. He sure did love it. 😻

Chilling with the big boy.

Meet Tangawizi (Ginger in Swahili). I’m looking after him for the week. 😻 He’s a cuddly, affectionate boy, when he wants feeding!

One of my favourite all time hymns, by Gerard Markland based on words from Isaiah 43: 1-5.

This is for Charlie Kirk and his family. What a truly tragic loss.

Do Not Be Afraid.

What an absolute beast of a cloud.

Woweee I love watching these bunny tails bouncing around in the wind. They’re sooo soft and furry. They’re literally my favourite plant. I’ve loved them since childhood. 🐇

Tobacco flowers are up there on my favourite scent list. They release their heavy, intoxicating perfume in the evening, inticing silver moths with their aroma. I love all the different colours they come in. Each one smells a wee bit different. They’ll be a staple in the summer garden from now on.

Feeling alone, lost, sad? Here’s a prayer for you. 🪽 And here’s the video for it. Image by Jonathan Dick, with thanks.

Gentle, pensive, atmospheric harp to help you relax. Sink deep into this sweet resonance and soar high with beautiful vibrations. This is a simple piece to find peace in, at the end of a busy day. Enjoy Summer’s Last Breaths.

Flower power.

Gorgeous light.

Gotta love a bowl of colourful, crunchy things. Wasabi peanut?

I love early mornings. Before the heat. Before the crowds. The sea air feels alive, as the sun glints on the water.

I might be back by home the sea, but my heart is still full of heather.

Burying myself in a lavender bush is something I make a habit of doing.
